Hello! My name is Beth Ferraro and I'm the owner of 

B. Mallinson Stitchery LLC, where sewing meets embroidery. 

We are an online-only business based in Edgefield, SC.  Our merchandise combines sewing and embroidery with unique stitchery and embellishments for a one of a kind items. 

I've been sewing since my highschool days when I made most of my clothes as a cost-saving measure. My interest in machine embroidery is more recent. After watching many sewing and crafting shows where machine embroidery was used, I decided I would like to try my hand at it. Needless to say, I was hooked. There is nothing more meditative, for me at least, then watching my embroidery machine transform a piece of cloth into a work of art.

This small, home-based business is a new venture as I enter my retirement years. I am a registered nurse and worked as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner for the last 30 or so years. Then Covid reared it's ugly head, people stopped coming into the office, I was fuloughed, then offered a retirement package which I gladly took. Now I would have more time to machine embroider, and sew of course!

As I mentioned, however, this is a small business. I do it all (well, almost all; my husband helps with packaging and shipping). I have one sewing machine, one embroidery machine and a serger. My embroidery machine is a one needle machine! It takes me more time to embroider out a design. However, I believe the result is more personal. Since I have to stay by the machine to change thread colors, I am closely watching the sew-out, able to catch and intervene any problems, which ensures a perfect result. We will sell nothing that is not as perfect as it can be.

I enjoy combining embroidery with sewing so much that I want to share some of my creations with you who may not have the time or resources to create beautiful things for you, your loved ones or your home.
